A Part of Our Community for Over 55 Years

What began as a little envelope printing business has grown and diversified to become a full-service shop capable of producing everything you need in print & signage.
  • 1967Foundation

Atlantic Systematic Envelopes Ltd. (ASE Print) was founded by A.H. Peter Doane in 1967, but prior to that Mr. Doane worked as vice-president of Truro Printing & Publishing Co. In his spare time he worked for 12 years developing the first church envelope printing press in the Maritimes.
  • 1973Growth

Peter’s only employee, Doug MacDonald, purchased the business in 1973. Doug and his wife Bev grew the business over the next 25 years, becoming a major supplier for church envelopes across Canada and sheet fed printing in the Nova Scotia market.
  • 1998Expanded Print Capacity

Arnold and Eleanor Melanson purchased ASE Print in 1998. The church envelope division was sold to a West Virginia company in 2000. This enabled ASE to focus on the commercial print market.
  • 2014Continued Advancement

Now under the ownership of Ted and Andrea Dykeman, ASE Print continues to serve the printing needs of the Truro and Colchester County areas and beyond.
  • 2021Continued Diversification

Addition of a full service sign shop opens ASE Print & Sign to another exciting market and deliver the quality and service people want from a printing company.

Over our 50 year history our focus has always been to provide a quality printing service for our customers. This basic principle has passed the “test of time” and we have a growing customer list with many 25+ year customer relationships still in place.
